Gothenburg, Sweden, No. 2006, a series of activities visit to Shanghai antique sailboat

Swedish vessel “Gothenburg” was built in imitation of an ancient sail with the actual proportion, which was an artistical, peaceful and friendly sail.

October 2nd, 2005 , “Gothenburg” officially left Gothenburg port and began it’s trip to China. It was 20 years’ anniversary that Shanghai and Gothenburg had opened sister city relations. Shanghai residents greeted the arrival of vessel “Gothenburg” with warmhearted and hospitable.

Crown princess victoria of Sweden, the Swedish Prince, Johansson, Mayor of Gothenburg, the Swedish ambassador to China,Yong Borui came to Shanghai specially to participate in the activities. Shanghai Mayor, Han Zheng attended the welcome ceremony of vessl “Gothenburg” arrival and made a speech.

Shanghai International Convention & Exhibition Corp., Ltd accepted the tasks of full-range meeting services, which included welcome and seeing-off ceremony in Shanghai passenger terminal, unveiling ceremony in the government function room. After that, SICEC was cited by Municipal Government Foreign Affairs Office.
